About Me
Welcome! I’m Sharon Marsh, the heart and hands behind this little corner of the world where handmade jewelry, antique & vintage treasures, and novel oatmeal soap come together. My journey into crafting began nearly four decades ago, as a child who fell in love with the magic of stringing beads onto thread. That simple act sparked a lifelong passion, and over the years, I’ve learned various forms of jewelry making, from timeless techniques to newer skills like wire wrapping—a craft that continues to challenge and inspire me.
What makes my creations truly special is the love and care I pour into every piece. If you find something you adore in my shop, rest assured I adore it, too. I create with the belief that each item should bring joy and be something I’d cherish in my own collection. While I don’t offer returns or refunds due to the nature of my small business, your happiness matters deeply to me. I welcome your feedback and take pride in knowing that every customer so far has been thrilled with their purchase.
My shop is more than just a business; it’s a way to support my passions. Proceeds not only help put food on the table, they also help fund my work rescuing and rehabilitating exotic pets while educating others about conservation and responsible pet ownership—a calling that began 36 years ago when my father and I nursed an injured painted turtle back to health.
I grew up exploring Michigan’s forests, rivers, and lakes, where my father instilled in me a deep love for nature and wildlife. Today, I balance my creative pursuits with my roles as a mom to three amazing kids (two teenagers and one newly adult daughter), a part-time job enriching the lives of special needs children, caring for the animals, and managing my plethora of health conditions that include Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteo Arthritis, Type 2 Diabetes, ADHD, and CPTSD to name a few. The health problems can be overwhelming at times, but I am so very grateful to be above ground, still making a difference wherever I can.
Of course my loving husband Mark makes all the difference with his support of all my crazy aspirations! He and I are a team in everything, including the rescue/rehab/edu. We both have decades of experience in wildlife rehabilitation, and together, became certified Michigan Master Naturalists through Michigan State University back in 2020.
Running a small handmade business is no easy feat. From crafting and photographing each piece to managing inventory, accounting, stocking vendor booths, shipping, and running several social media platforms, there’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes. I wouldn’t trade it for the world though. Each creation reflects my dedication, and the joy it brings to others makes all the hard work worthwhile.
Thank you for visiting and supporting my small business. I hope you find something here that speaks to you and becomes a treasured part of your life!
